Quilted Fun - CD Sunday DT

This time our theme at CD Sunday is 'Quilted Fun', I've been trying to use bits and pieces from my printed box, it's overflowing with all those images and papers I printed when I got the CD's and for whatever reason didn't get around to using all or some of.  My image is from Swalk by Crafters Companion, the quilted look BP I'm not sure if got it like that or if it was one of my experiments in Craft Artist. All the buttons are punched from patterned papers and then I used glaze to finish them. I used an MS punch for the centre strip, then added another strip with more glazed paper buttons. I finished off with Waco Pearl drops on the corners.

Missing Posts

Typical, seems there have been problems with my scheduled  posts earlier this week, they didn't happen and they have disappeared from the listings, shouldn't grumble really as they are always scheduled and it doesn't happen often,  but why did it have to happen when I am unwell and not up to checking it out ! Makes me want to scream.  Hopefully all will be back to normal this weekend, I just need to feel well enough to make something.

Feeling marginally better today, although not moving much as the ear infection has left me more unbalanced than usual (no rude comments please).  Many thanks for the thoughtful comments about the loss of our Sweep last week, they were very much appreciated.

So onto the missing posts, I am going to make it one big posting, as I'm really not up to sitting like this for long.

On Sunday it was time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday with the theme of 'Cute Christmas', the DT were fortunate enough to be given Elegant Inspirations - Christmas Comfort CD to play with, there are two cd's in this pack one is the normal kind of thing you would expect in the shape of images and backing papers etc., the other cd is full of different cutting files which you can use either with a cutting machine or to print off and cut out by hand.  CD Sunday also have a spare CD to give to the lucky winner of the top 3 this week, so make sure you pop over and have a look.  apart from papers.images from the CD I also used my new holly corner die and added some red Waco Pearl drops for the berries, and a little gold mirri for layering.

On Monday there was also a new challenge over at Ooh-la-La, and their theme for the fortnight is 'All at Sea' my image/papers for this are from 'Boys to Men' CD. with added die cuts from Marianne Creatables using cored'inations card which I lightly sanded after cutting/embossing.

Pearls and Swirls - CD Sunday DT

Morning all, it's Sunday and time for another new challenge over at CD Sunday, this week the theme is Pearls and Swirls, so a chance for me to use my latest CD Egyptian Promise from Debbi Moore, I have highlighted the decoupaged image and also the gold stripes on the front paper with sakura glitter pens, unfortunately it doesn't show up on the piccy.

Paisley Fun - CD Sunday DT

Yay, I'm back online at last, had a couple of problems which forced me to be offline longer than originally intended, so lots of catching up to do with all sorts of things now.

This week our theme over at at CD Sunday is Paisley fun, my CD elements are from MCS Tattered Lace for the main paisley background and MCS Simply Sillhouettes for the background to the topper, the stamped image is from a stamp set we were provided with a few weeks ago by Sue Wilson.

Natures Wonders - CD Sunday DT

Another month gone again, cannot believe it's October already, and yes I'm late with posting today as I overslept mostly because I finally got to sleep at around 6.30 this morning.  

As it's the 1st week of the month it's sponsor time over at CD Sunday, this month we are being sponsored by the lovely Sue from Creative Expressions, I love watching her demo's on the TV she always has such wonderful ideas, if you have watched her demo's you may  recognise the concertina folded die cut which she did in August,  I wanted to have a go at this and thought what better time to do it than now, although mine is no-where near as stuniing as Sue's, but it was my first attempt and it looks much better in real life.  My CD bit is the backing paper from MCS Simply Sillhouttes, The butterfly and word stamps were part of the Natures Wonder stamp sheet kindly given to the DT to use by Sue. Black n Blue - CD SUnday DT

Wow it's Sunday again already, not sure where the week has gone.  This week we would like to see you Black and Blue creations over at CD Sunday,  This was quite a quick and easy card to to make, the digi's and Bp's this week are from MCS Everything Oriental . The bamboo page was cut on my Craft Robo, the circles were cut with circle punches, I used some black hammered card for the base and black glitter card behind the bamboo and also layering of the circles and blue color box chalk inks to highlight the edges of the oriental scenes.

Nursery Rhymes - CD Sunday DT

 

Boy it's hot here at the moment, we're right in the middle of a heatwave, today the thermometer topped out at 38C outside, i'm writing this at 1.30 at night but it's still 25C out there, far too hot for me, reckon sleep will not be easy tonight.  Tomorrow is my hubbys birthday so I really should try and find the card I made for him weeks ago, I put it somewhere safe, but do you think I can find it now,!!!
