Get Well Soon - CD Sunday DT

Today I'm showing a card I started a while ago, I finally got around to finishing it recently, this is my DT card for CD Sunday where we have the theme of 'Get well' . The image is from Sheena 's Paint CD Pansies are one of my favourite flowers so I enjoyed doing the layers on these flowers. I also used an MS punch for the ribbon band, inked some edges of the papers and finished off with some flat backed pearls.

Round Again - CD Sunday DT

Good morning, I'm back again after a couple of months away due to some medical problems with my OH George, it was a worrying and stressful time for both of us, thankfully all appears to be resolved and well again.

One of the other good things for me is I didn't put my PC on very much during the past couple of months and I'm trying to stick to only switching it on a couple of times a week, it's so easy to find I've been faffing about on the thing for ages and wasted several hours and achieved nothing at all.

I have absolutely no mojo or inclination for card making at the moment, so I spent some time going through photos of my previous cards for some inspiration.

This time at CD Sunday our theme is 'Round Again' - re-cycled, chosen by team mate Carol.  I've not been as adventurous as some of my team mates and I've stuck to just making a card.  My recycled bits are the ribbon which I saved from something I received years ago, it's more like a strip of upholstery fabric than ribbon and has on 'odd' feel to it, whilst not re-cycling as such the turquoise paper and the image are from my paper bits box, something I printed off and used parts of previously, so that's two bits of paper/card less in the box !! - but there is a long way to go to used them all up, the image is from Thomas Kincade CDs by Joanna Sheen.

F Is For ?

Well in my case F is for ?   Furry Friends, that's our theme over at CD Sunday this week, it's going to be a very brief post today as I am using a different computer, my laptop had a hissy fit a couple of days ago and I'm in the process of re-installing everything.

I used images and papers for this little set from Faithful Friends CD by Ooh-La-La, with the addition of a punched border into Linen effect mirri, ribbon, and dew drops.

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and see what all my teamies have been up to.

Bookmark - MTTC DT

This time at My Time To Craft we have the challenge of  'A Bookmark' mine is a recent make as a sample for Ooh-La-La Creations release of their latest CD Faithful Friends. I used some bronze linen effect mirri card for the base and the rear, and punched another piece for the centre band, just added the doggie topper and sandwiched ribbon in between the layers.

Another fortnight gone again, cannot believe we are half way through March already.  It's time for another challenge over at Ooh-La-La Challenge Blog and this week our theme is 'Thank You'.  My card this time is made from images and papers from their latest CD Fairies and Blooms, lots of fabulous images and papers to choose from, my image is just right for this time of year with the lovely spring colours, if you fancy a further look at what's on the CD click on the link above. Additional bits and bobs are ribbon, pearls and card candi from Joanna Sheen, the flowers were die cut with Marianne dies from the flowers paper on the CD, much neater and quicker than me handcutting the shapes !!
