Help for Karen

Please could you spare a few minutes to read this post on Wendy's blog she puts this so much better than I ever could.  Karen is a friend who is a very talented crafter, and a wonderful kind person, she has been going through a really tough time over the past couple of  years and she needs as many of us as possible to help her,  despite all her health problems she always manages to stay cheerful and supportive of all her crafting friends. Just Because - CD Sunday DT

This week the theme over at CD Sunday is Just Because, I decided to use digi papers and images from Venetian Masquerade Collection CD by Debbi Moore. I've had this for a while now and not had a reason to use it, so this seemed like a good time. I added lots of glitter, well you just have too with DM's images don't you ! shame it doesn't show up very well in the piccy, and some Card Candi faux brads.

Larry Bee - Delightful Challenge DT

Morning, Oh dear I seem to have lost a day somewhere this week, I thought is was only Wednesday, but it's actually Thursday, so I had best dash this posting out quickly.  It's time for new challenges over at Delightful Challenges and this week the theme is to use digital patterned papers, I haven't used this fan technique for ages now, so I thought it would make nice change and display these lovely papers and image from Digital Delights by Louby Loo quite well.

Nursery Rhymes - CD Sunday DT

 

Boy it's hot here at the moment, we're right in the middle of a heatwave, today the thermometer topped out at 38C outside, i'm writing this at 1.30 at night but it's still 25C out there, far too hot for me, reckon sleep will not be easy tonight.  Tomorrow is my hubbys birthday so I really should try and find the card I made for him weeks ago, I put it somewhere safe, but do you think I can find it now,!!!

Anyway enough of my ramblings as it's Sunday again already, it's time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday and this week the theme is Nursery Rhymes, I really struggled to find any suitable images and then I found this in the new Humphrey range from Crafters Companion and I thought Goosey Goosey Gander, the backing papers are from the Humphrey CD, the flower and scroll dies are from my fav range of Marianne Creatables, the base card is Centura Pearl and the mirri is Kanban linen effect, all finished off with a few pearls, and some sakura glitter pens.  Have a good week everyone.

Ovals - CD Sunday DT

 

A bit of glitter and glitz for me for my card this week, although it doesn 't show up very well in the photo, the theme we have this week over at CD Sunday is Ovals, as you can see I have a few with the aid of the CD Debbi Moore Glitter & Glitz Paris and a little art deco type folding which haven't done for ages now. Lastly I added hunky dory glitter and some clear gems.  Hope you like it.

White on White Christmas

For my Christmas card this week I decided to go with White on White as there are a few challenges around with the theme and of course Christmas,  All White is not one of my favorites to make, I love looking at them they are always so elegant, but I just find them so hard to do, guess it's because I like colours, ah well it's good to stretch yourself a little now and then. I hope you like my attempt.

Kelleys Kids

There's a new kid on the block, well a new challenge site called Kelley Kids Challenge, they have the digi above as a freebie this week, I was quite taken with her,  isn't she cute, so thought I would have a play the other day. I also used the sketch layout provided at Sweet Sketch Wednesday as I was struggling for inspirations I thought this would be very nice.

House Mouse ATC

I rarely make ATC's, I'm always too busy, but this week the theme at house-mouse and friends challenge is to make a HMD themed ATC's, so thought I would have a change. All made with scraps from one of my many scrap boxes. The main image is from the front sample sheet (just the right size for ATC's) of one of the decoupage sets by Joanna Sheen.  I hope you like it.
