Celebration Blog Hop - Delightful Challenges DT


It's a Celebration Blog Hop!   30th June - 1st July

Hello everyone and welcome to the Digital Delights It's a Celebration Blog Hop 30th June -1st July 2011. This is a 2 day hop to help you get through all 30 of our talented designers, collect your letters and enter to win the grand prize!

The theme of this hop is CELEBRATIONS!! At Digital Delights by Louby Loo, we are celebrating the new store! Wendy (aka Louby Loo) just completed the move to a new and improved store! In honor of this, each stop along the way will have a Digital Delights stamp from their project to be given away. There are amazing sponsors for the grand prize at the end.

This is a hop with a different twist as along the hop there are letters to find in the postings - not all blogs have the letters but if you gather all the letters then at the end of the hop on day 2 assemble them to create a Digital Delights related word. You then return to the Digital Delights blog here and enter your name in the inlinks at the bottom of the post (do not reveal the secret word yet). After the hop you will be contacted if you are selected at random--at which point you will be asked to reveal the correct word. 
Now on to my project. 
This week the Delightful Challenges theme is Red White and Blue, I chose to work with Blast off Billy and make a slightly different Easel card,  I used a a stars embossing plate on Core D' inations card which I sanded and mounted onto a diamond shaped easel card, the image is coloured with promarkers and some areas highlighted with Sakura Glitter Glaze pens

Mixed Bouquet - CD Sunday DT

Morning, it's Sunday again already, it's still really hot (22c) at 4am here, cannot sleep as it's so sticky, I have the bedroom windows wide open.  

Still struggling with my mojo, just wish it would hurry up and return from it's vacation.

The theme at CD Sunday this week is Mixed Bouquet, I hope you like my card, the image and papers are from Pam West Vol 2.  by Joanna Sheen.  I also used:  Centura Pearl Card for base, Red Card from Stash,  MS punch, card candi, Sakura Glitter glaze pens, and promarkers.

Pink Christmas

I know you're surprised to see a non DT card from me, I'm trying to keep going with my Christmas cards now I've got started again, I've made this one with someone in mind who is so into pink you wouldn't believe and it will fit in with several of the Christmas Challenges.  

Fairy and elements are from MCS Christmas Sparkle, I fiddled about and decoupaged a few layers of the fairy and the Garland, I also used Marianne Poinettia Dies, Waco Pearl drops, Sakura Glaze pens, puffy snow pen, Kort & Godt pearls MS glitter, peel offs, glossy accents, Centura Pearl card and glitter paper.

Penguins - Bah! Humbug! GDT

I can't believe i'm on my final week as GD for Bah! Humbug! over at Humbug Hall, it's been such fun , I don't know where the month went it's just flown by.  I'll soon have to pack my bags ready to go home.  My wing at the hall has been very warm and humid lately.  Even after all these years of card making I still find it quite weird making Christmas cards at 5am ( too hot to sleep) in cropped trousers and t shirt and watching the day arrive.

This week I'm using images and papers from a Debbi Moore CD called Penguin Fun.  My fancy fold is inspired from another Debbi Moore product, I've added some glitter in the form of my Sakura Sparkle pens and some stars from my stash.

Fun in the Sun - Delightful Challenges DT

It seems summer might be coming to some places, by the thunderstorms and humidity we've had here, it definately has.  My DT card for Delightful Challenges this week is a little on the bright side, so you will need your sunglasses on to look at it.

Tassel Time - CD Sunday DT


It's Tassel Time over at CD Sunday this week, as you can see i've used my fav colours and i've used my fav style of card a centre stepper too.
 

The image and papers are from MCS Finishing Touch, I made my tassels from Embroidery Floss, something I have a huge stash off as I also like to cross stitch. I also used some card candy, ribbon, brads and Sakura Glitter pen from stash.

Mittens & Scarves - Bah! Humbug! GD

Woohoo it's Friday, can't believe i'm already on my 3rd week as GD over at Bah! Humbug!.  The ladies at Humbug Hall are looking for "Scarves and Mittens" this week, I know the weather's not always that great up there, but I reckon scarves and mittens might be a bit too much right now!!  My little offering is an easel card, poor Mr Snowman was feeling the cold and has his scarves and mittens on.  The image and BP's are both from Joanna Sheens Chrismas Creations CD, I used this for several cards last Christmas and this image was one of my all time favourites, the snowflake border was made using an MS punch, although it doesn't show up I also used a Sakura sparkle pen on the image.

Pippin goes Surfin - Delightful Challenges DT

Hi there, can't believe it's Thursday again already. I decided to stick to a more masculine type card again this week, as I don't have many in my stock.

This weeks theme over at Delightful Challenges is Anything Goes.

If the Shoe Fits - CD Sunday DT

A Waterfall card one of my favourite styles, I haven't made one for a while so this one is my DT card for the latest challenge over at CD Sunday,  the images are from Ooh-La-La, Shoes in Bloom CD, the backing paper is from Bearly Mine Designs, base card is Centura Pearl, the red card is from my stash, I cut the shapes with nestabilities.

Teenagers Card - Bah! Humbug! GDT

It's time for my 2nd GDT card already over at Bah! Humbug!   This week the ladies over at Humbug Hall are after a card for a teenager, I found this theme quite hard, not having or being in touch with any teenagers, I'm not sure what teenagers would think of as a cool christmas card, so this my take on the theme. The images and papers are from MCS Christmas Sparkle CD, the snowflakes were made with an MS punch from pink linen effect mirri, I used my ever favourite centura pearl base card made into a centre stepper card and highlighted some areas with a Sakura clear glitter pen.

Summer - Crafters Companion

Welcome to Humphreys corner, he's the latest release from Crafters Companion. Isn't he cute.  Hope you like my card. The photo's show three different views, 1st one is closed up, 2nd partially open, 3rd fully open.

 The base card is Core-dinations, all images and patterned papers are from the Humphrey range by Crafters Companion, the ribbon lace was made using a MS punch and the card was embellsihed with Pearls and a sakura clear glaze pen.

Digi Day, Lady Jane - CD Sunday DT

Good Morning, it's the 1st Sunday of a brand new month so it's time for another new sponsored challenge, this month it's courtesy of  Stitchy Bear Stamps who are giving one lucky person 5 Digi Stamps of their choosing from the shop.

My digi stamp is Lady Jane which I put through an embossing folder and then coloured with promarkers and Sakura star glaze pens, my paper is from MCS Papercraft Library CD, the corners were made using a Marianne Designs Corner Die cut from mirri card which was in my stash and finished of with some pearls

Surprise Surprise !! - Bah! Humbug! GDT

Two Surprises, 1st one is I have been lucky to be selected for a GDT spot for the month of June over at Humbug Hall which I am so excited about.  

The 2nd one is the theme for this week over at Bah! Humbug! the humbug ladies would love to see your Christmas projects this week "containing or hiding a surprise".  

Despite my best intentions to make a christmas card each week this year, I've been overtaken by various events recently and haven't managed to make one for weeks now, so it's good that I get to make some over the next 4 weeks. 

Here's mine for this week I hope you like it. It would be lovely if you join us this week, you know it makes sense to get a good head start on all those Christmas cards
My image and papers came from the Crafters Companion Popcorn range, embossed card is from my stash, the holly and berries were cut and embossed from mirri using my Marianne Creatables dies.
