BP #4

Last one for today, yes I am keen to win something on this fab comp from Crafters Companion A winter Tales, in case you hadn't guessed, a big thank you Sara and team for the opportunity to try and win.

The download was fab to work with I still have enough bits and pieces to make at least one maybe even more cards, I'll see how I feel later on today, if I can fit the time in, as I neglected other things 'cos I was enjoying myself doing these.  and it took my mind off of feeling so yucky.

This was a good excuse to use my new impressabilities snowflake thingumy today, I used it twice, on the outside I ran it through the cuttlebug and then sponged some pale blue chalk ink on it whilst the mask was still in place (my first attempt at doing that), on the inside it is just as it came out of the cuttlebug. The silver snowflakes down the side are visible when the card is closed, which is not very clear from the main piccy .  The front image is from the free download as are the sentiments on inside and outside.    Cardstock is Centura Pearl, from CC.  I do love this card, the snowflakes made using an MS punch. Corners shaped with a chomper thingumy.

Entry #3,  Having great fun with the free downlaods from Crafter Companion for this A Winters Tale Challenge, as well increasing my Christmas Cards.

Papers from the download and main image from my BP CD's, and sparkled some bits with my Sakura Clear Claze pen, they are such a cute couple aren't they.

BP #2

My 2nd entry for this Crafters Companion A Winters Tale competition.  I used the free downloads papers and an image from the BP set I already have and added one of the sledging rabbits from the download to it.

BP #1

Now I can't let my JIC teamie Karen have all the entries for the fab little competition by Crafters Companion in conjunction with the launch of the Beatrix Potter A Winters Tale Collection this week. So here are some of mine, now I'm not coughing and spluttering quite so much as I was, I do still have quite a high temperature and am really aching and quite shakey, I had devil of a job cutting out because of this,  so I hope it all clears up very soon as we are off on a short holiday this weekend.

The free download from CC was great thanks, you will see i've been using them in the cards and I still have enough to do some more cards.

For this one I had a rummage through my BP CD's to see what little creatures I could find in an appropriate size, to put on this snowy scene background, some of those tiny rabbits and squirrels were so fiddly to cut out, it' great for an easel card, all cardstock is Centura Pearl, available from C, . snowflake using an MS punch
I'm also going to enter this into:
Christmas cards all year round  a non standard size
Fussy & Fancy - Christmas
Polka Doodles    - Easel

Good luck to everyone who enters

JIC #12 A Christmas Card

Wow, Wow, Wow.  An interesting week, firstly I got selected onto the DT over at Just Inspirational Challenges and then I won another challenge yesterday with my entry Diamond/Star Shaped Easel Card, my first win, woohooo.

Anyway, this is my first DT card for Just Inspirational Challenges  I think I must have "stage fright" or something as I don't think it's one of my best, sorry, will do better next time.   I've had these Penguins from Joanna Sheens' Jane Netley Mayhew CD in mind for a Christmas card for ages, I didn't feel I wanted to put any other colours with them, so stuck with the black/white/silver theme. The embossed base card I bought from Create and Craft a while back.

Holly christmas card

Just for a change this is not an easel card, bet that surprised you.  Made using T bag papers in a style I was shown by my friend Ellen on the CC forum Live Crafting. Since she showed us all I've used this style a couple of times for birthdays and thought it was good for Christmas too.

T bag papers from Crafters Companion Popcorn range, cardstock is Centura Pearl also from CC, MS Holly punch, other bits and bobs from Stash.

Diamond/Star Shaped Christmas Easel

I do like easel cards, and have been working on coming up with some new shapes, this is my latest shape, quite different to the shape I came up with last week, at least I have an obvious name for this one unlike the one I did last week, which I'm not sure what to call. Once I  had finished playing about with scraps of paper for the shape and made a template it was actually a quick and easy card to make.
Star shapes made using pinflair stepper set, papers from MCS, Blue mirri from Kanban and base card Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion,  oohps took the piccy before I put "merry christmas" on to the tab I made for it.
I'm entering this into:
