Birthday Card for a Male - CD Sunday DT

It's my turn to choose the theme over at CD Sunday this time, I chose 'Birthday for a Male', both of my sons have birthdays in the near future, so it seemed like an ideal theme for me and it's always a challenge making cards suitable for males, as we can't use all those pretty girly embellishments on them.

My image is from Ooh La La Creations, the BP was in my stash, so not sure what CD it game from.

Clean and Simple - OLLCB DT

It's my theme choice this time over at Ooh-La-La Creations challenge blog, I've gone for Clean and Simple, I really find them a challenge not to add all those lovely embellishments in my stash, to me it looks like I haven't finished it !!, I've used one of my favourite Ooh-La-La CD's the Shawn Jenkins collection. Fancy Folds - Ooh-La-La DT

Our theme this week over at Ooh-La-La Creations blog is 'Fancy Folds', a favourite theme for me along with Easel cardsThis one is a variation of a Shutter Card. It uses images from one of my favourite CD's - Everyday Occasions, the BP was printed direct to the cardstock and I highlighted the edges with ink, I printed an extra of the main images but enlarged it so I could cut them out and stick to the main card with Pinflair glue.

Easel Card - OLLCB DT

Time for a new challenge over at Ooh-La-La Creations, this time the theme is 'Easel Card' mine is a quick and easy one and uses image and papers from their CD Men to Boys, I punched the edges with an MS punch, added a die cut buckle and a small length of ribbon through it.

Easter/Spring - OLLCB DT

Time for another new challenge over at Ooh-La-La Creations, this time our theme is Easter/Spring.  I went with Spring and made this card for a friend in the UK for her birthday, all the images/papers are from the Shawn Jenkins CD by Ooh-La-La, I added some glitter to the flowers with a Sakura glitter pen, and the addition of some cream coloured card for the layering, ribbon from my stash and a die cut senti in copper coloured mirri card.

Card for a Child - OLLCB DT

This one is a bit late, I've only just noticed - oohps !,  it should have posted on Monday but was still sat there waiting to post, not sure what happened there.  

This week our new theme is 'A card for a Child' for Ooh-la-la creations challenge.  The image and papers are from Fairies and Blooms CD, I made it for my Grand-daughter Matilda's birthday,  haven't made a twisted easel for a while so that made a nice change. I added some die cut swirls, ribbon and a senti from my stash.

Something Beginning with 'D' - CD Sunday DT

Today my CD Sunday DT card is for my Grand-daughter Ivy's birthday, my 'D' for the theme is decoupage, I've used image and papers from Popcorn Bear - Birthday CD.  the hearts and heart corner and border punch set were from a Martha Stewart punch, sadly the border punch gave up and stopped punching after I had punched a couple of borders, very unusual for an MS punch, unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. The little hearts scattered around were the offcuts from the main punch. I also used some clear glaze on the balloons, ribbon and 'happy birthday' are from my stash.

Simply Red - CD Sunday DT

It's time again already for another challenge over at CD Sunday, the theme this week is my choice and I've gone for 'Simply Red' so that gives you plenty of scope.  

Mine is made for Grandson's birthday, for the background I embossed some red mirri to give texture , the image is from MCS Collectors Edition, a little bit of BP that was in my paper stash of offcuts, all finished off with Bakers Twine and die cut sentiment.

6/8 Tantalizing Turquoise - CD Sunday DT

My second favourite colour is our theme for this time at CD Sunday, I'm using a Debbi Moore CD this time, also some turq mirri card and some paper lace ribbon. The card shape is also from a Debbi Moore template,  I decoupaged the ribbon on her dress and highlighted with gold Sakura Glitter pen.

2/8 - 3D's Die Cuts, Decoupage & DL - CD Sunday DT

This week at CD Sunday the theme is 3Ds - Die Cuts, Decoupage and DL, mine is a birthday card for a special young lady whose birthday is in January, I've used Daisy and Friends CD from Joanna Sheen the little girl is decoupaged, I also added a die cut bow and teardrop shaped pearl to finish off. 

Birthday - OLLCB

A nice and easy challenge this time over at Ooh-La-La Creations challenge blog the new theme is 'Birthday'.  Most of the cards I make are for Birthdays.  I made this DT card using the Nursery Times CD and added some Card Candi to the finished card.

On the Beach - CD Sunday DT

This weeks theme at CD Sunday brings back memories for me.  Many many years ago I used to be a surfer, most weekends would find me at a beach in north Devon, surf boards at hand, a small single layer two person tent to grab a couple of hours sleep, and a single burner primus stove for cooking breakfast happy days. 

So the theme is 'On the Beach' my card uses elements and papers from Shabby Chic Seaside by Debbi Moore, the cardstock is Centura Pearl and the dies are from Spellbinders Grand range.

add a Number - CD Sunday DT

I'm showing  you all an oval shaped card today, this is my DT card for CD Sunday, our new theme is 'Add a Number', I cut the shaped card using Centura Pearl and a Go Kreate nesting die, I also cut the DP into the same shape, the image is from Debbi Moores' CD My Fair Lady, finally I added some glitter, Kort and Godt roses and the numbers.

Today I'm showing an an Aperture card which is my DT card for the latest 'Aperture' theme at My Time To Craft. Made using Centura Pearl base card, a die for the aperture, card candi and images and papers from Shabby Chic Vintage Travel by Debbi Moore.

Garden Pleasures - CD Sunday DT

What a funny week it's been, we've had some terrific thunderstorms here most nights that have caused some quite substantial damage across the region, thankfully apart from several days without phones or internet we've been OK, but several friends have suffered badly.  Sounds daft but thunder here sounds so different from when we were in UK, the thunder just seem to rumble on for ages and shake the house, very few noisy bangs,  so we're hoping to catch up on some much needed sleep this week.

My card which is for the latest challenge at CD Sunday uses image and papers from two Joanna Sheen CD's Ivory Cats and Pam West, I also used dies from both Memory Box and Heartfelt Creations for the little bird, cat, frame, and the flowers and leaves, and some paper lace over my paper joins.

Dreams and Dragons - CD Sunday DT

Wow what a hot week it's been, 33/34C most days and the forecast to be even hotter next week here, much too hot for me I'm afraid, and to make things worse I've got a throat and ear infection with a temp to match.

It's been a sad week too for us, our shy little fur baby Fizzy didn't come home Monday after her morning wander, somewhat unusual as she never went far from her food bowl, we assumed at first she may have got locked in somewhere, sadly a little later George found her out at the side of the main road through the village, Brandy seems to be missing her as she seems to want more cuddles and has a surplus of energy as she her and Fizzy used to chase each other around the house and garden.

On to more cheerful subjects, this week our theme at CD Sunday is Dreams and Dragons, I reverted to my favourite purples for this one, the image is from Simply Sumara and the papers are from Joanna Sheen, I decoupaged the group of flowers on the topper and used die cuts into silver mirri for the corners and the dragonfly.

Ebony and Ivory - OLLCB DT

Another fortnight gone already, time seems to be flying by, this time at Ooh-La-La we have the theme of Ebony and Ivory, my image and BP is from fabulous Yesterdays Memories CD, I thought I would use a gatefold card this time, as I haven't done one in ages, I used Spellbinders dies for the leafy scrolls cut from black mirri card and finished off with some Ivory shade roses.

S is for....? - CD Sunday DT

Time for another challenge over at CD Sunday - 'S is for ....' well in my case it could be, Sand, Seashells, Seaside or Sailing, my image and BP is from Joanna Sheens Tom Mielko CD, there are some fabulous images on this CD.  I also used a memory box die with some core-d'inations card and embellishments of real baby sea shells.

Triptic - MTTC

This time over at My Time To Craft we have a style I've not used for a while 'Triptic', for my card I've used and image and paper from my latest purchase  from Joanna Sheen Triple House Mouse CD, the edge is punched with an MS punch, I added depth to the marshmallows with some puffy snow and some some sparkle to the centre of the flowers with a Sakura Glitter pen, finished off with some paper lace ribbon and some gems.
