Christmas is coming - CD Sunday DT

A somewhat late posting this time, for some reason I thought it was Saturday all day, even though I watched F1 grand prix which is always on a Sunday, not sure where my brain was.

This time the theme is Christmas is Coming over at CD Sunday, so I'm showing my card made from the Glitter and Glitz CD range by Debbie Moore, another fairly quick and easy card for me, with the addition of a punched ribbon border, Sakura sparkle pens and some square gems.

Add a Bow - OLLCB DT

it's time for another theme over Ooh-La-La Creations, this time it's a really easy one as it's 'Add a Bow' I added a double bow with two different ribbons, I also used the lovely image and papers of Hickory Dickory Dock from the Nursery Times CD. To finish off I added some die cut corners and some flat back pearls.

Birthday Card for a Male - CD Sunday DT

It's my turn to choose the theme over at CD Sunday this time, I chose 'Birthday for a Male', both of my sons have birthdays in the near future, so it seemed like an ideal theme for me and it's always a challenge making cards suitable for males, as we can't use all those pretty girly embellishments on them.

My image is from Ooh La La Creations, the BP was in my stash, so not sure what CD it game from.

Happily Ever After - CD Sunday DT

Rather late today, I'm not sure where the weekend went, beautiful weather here, but a bit too hot for me.

So on to the card, I made a wedding card for this theme of 'Happily Ever After' at CD Sunday. I used popcorn Bear CD's from Crafters Companion, Popcorn is still one of my favourites. it was quite a quick and easy card for me, I added a doily to BP for the topper to sit on, some ribbon around the spine of the card and a die cut 'Wedding' sentiment die cut from silver mirri card and finally a few flat back gems on the doily, although they don't show very well on here.

Clean and Simple - OLLCB DT

It's my theme choice this time over at Ooh-La-La Creations challenge blog, I've gone for Clean and Simple, I really find them a challenge not to add all those lovely embellishments in my stash, to me it looks like I haven't finished it !!, I've used one of my favourite Ooh-La-La CD's the Shawn Jenkins collection. Hope to see your entry there.

Get Well Soon - CD Sunday DT

Today I'm showing a card I started a while ago, I finally got around to finishing it recently, this is my DT card for CD Sunday where we have the theme of 'Get well' . The image is from Sheena 's Paint CD Pansies are one of my favourite flowers so I enjoyed doing the layers on these flowers. I also used an MS punch for the ribbon band, inked some edges of the papers and finished off with some flat backed pearls.

Fancy Folds - Ooh-La-La DT

Our theme this week over at Ooh-La-La Creations blog is 'Fancy Folds', a favourite theme for me along with Easel cardsThis one is a variation of a Shutter Card. It uses images from one of my favourite CD's - Everyday Occasions, the BP was printed direct to the cardstock and I highlighted the edges with ink, I printed an extra of the main images but enlarged it so I could cut them out and stick to the main card with Pinflair glue.

Quilted Fun - CD Sunday DT

This time our theme at CD Sunday is 'Quilted Fun', I've been trying to use bits and pieces from my printed box, it's overflowing with all those images and papers I printed when I got the CD's and for whatever reason didn't get around to using all or some of.  My image is from Swalk by Crafters Companion, the quilted look BP I'm not sure if got it like that or if it was one of my experiments in Craft Artist. All the buttons are punched from patterned papers and then I used glaze to finish them. I used an MS punch for the centre strip, then added another strip with more glazed paper buttons. I finished off with Waco Pearl drops on the corners.

Round Again - CD Sunday DT

Good morning, I'm back again after a couple of months away due to some medical problems with my OH George, it was a worrying and stressful time for both of us, thankfully all appears to be resolved and well again.

One of the other good things for me is I didn't put my PC on very much during the past couple of months and I'm trying to stick to only switching it on a couple of times a week, it's so easy to find I've been faffing about on the thing for ages and wasted several hours and achieved nothing at all.

I have absolutely no mojo or inclination for card making at the moment, so I spent some time going through photos of my previous cards for some inspiration.

This time at CD Sunday our theme is 'Round Again' - re-cycled, chosen by team mate Carol.  I've not been as adventurous as some of my team mates and I've stuck to just making a card.  My recycled bits are the ribbon which I saved from something I received years ago, it's more like a strip of upholstery fabric than ribbon and has on 'odd' feel to it, whilst not re-cycling as such the turquoise paper and the image are from my paper bits box, something I printed off and used parts of previously, so that's two bits of paper/card less in the box !! - but there is a long way to go to used them all up, the image is from Thomas Kincade CDs by Joanna Sheen.

Ribbon, Lace and Gems - CD Sunday DT

This is my card for my choice of theme over at CD Sunday this week, a little bit late, it's not been a good couple of weeks, so I'm trying to catch up. I chose the theme of  'Ribbons, Lace and Gems' a very simple card this time, the image is from Faerie Poppets CD by Crafters Companion. layered onto Centura Pearl Cardstock, and finished of with lace trimmed with small gems, and a bow with a big sparkly gems in the middle.

Hope you like my choice of theme and pop over to the blog and also my teamies cards.

Deco Drama - CD Sunday DT

Happy Easter dear followers, I hope you have a lovely day, the weather is lovely and sunny and I will be relaxing.

Today I'm showing you a Christmas card - ideal for Easter, don't you think !  It's actually for our latest theme of 'Deco Drama' over at CD Sunday, it gave me a chance to make my first Christmas card this year, a bit of late start for me, I normally start them in February, but I've been busy making wedding invites and stationery for daughter Jess's wedding a little later in the year.

My card uses images and papers from Deco Christmas CD by Debbi Moore and a template I found somewhere on the internet a couple of years ago,  I added a couple of scrolls die cut into Silver mirri card and glittered her dress for a little sparkle and finally a sparkly ribbon bow.

Hope to see your entry on the challenge this week, don't forget to pop over and see what my teamies have made.

Card for a Child - OLLCB DT

This one is a bit late, I've only just noticed - oohps !,  it should have posted on Monday but was still sat there waiting to post, not sure what happened there.

This week our new theme is 'A card for a Child' for Ooh-la-la creations challenge.  The image and papers are from Fairies and Blooms CD, I made it for my Grand-daughter Matilda's birthday,  haven't made a twisted easel for a while so that made a nice change. I added some die cut swirls, ribbon and a senti from my stash.

Something Beginning with 'D' - CD Sunday DT

Today my CD Sunday DT card is for my Grand-daughter Ivy's birthday, my 'D' for the theme is decoupage, I've used image and papers from Popcorn Bear - Birthday CD.  the hearts and heart corner and border punch set were from a Martha Stewart punch, sadly the border punch gave up and stopped punching after I had punched a couple of borders, very unusual for an MS punch, unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. The little hearts scattered around were the offcuts from the main punch. I also used some clear glaze on the balloons, ribbon and 'happy birthday' are from my stash.

Our latest challenge over at Ooh-La-La starts today, with the theme of 'A Special Lady' I decided to use image and papers from Ooh-La-La's Shawn Jenkins CD. I do love cards with flowers and butterflies. My doily was lightly inked with some purple ink as were the edges of the BP, the two little scrolls are made from Martha Stewart paper clay and moulds, they give some depth,  I also cut some extra butterflies for a bit more dimension and finally finished off with a purple bow and a 'for you mum' sentiment.

Simply Red - CD Sunday DT

It's time again already for another challenge over at CD Sunday, the theme this week is my choice and I've gone for 'Simply Red' so that gives you plenty of scope.

Mine is made for Grandson's birthday, for the background I embossed some red mirri to give texture , the image is from MCS Collectors Edition, a little bit of BP that was in my paper stash of offcuts, all finished off with Bakers Twine and die cut sentiment.

Happy anniversary - Ooh-La-La Creations DT

What an awful night here in France and the day is not shaping up to be much better, high winds, heavy rain and hail through the night, now it's black skies, heavy rain and thunder, it's so dark we've got the lights on, there has been structural damage in some areas and yet more flooding on the Atlantic coast,

So onto my card this week, our latest theme over at Ooh-La-La Creations Challenge is 'Happy Anniversary', I've gone for the more masculine type card this time, hence the lack of pretty bows and flowers, instead I've used bakers twine and real sea shells, the image and papers are from the Shawn Jenkins Collection CD by Ooh-La-La, this CD is one of my favourites from their range with so many fantastic images, I also used an Martha Stewart punch on the front edges, insideI've overlaid the BP with a Spell Binders hearts and lattice die cut panel.

Quotations - CD Sunday DT

Good morning, at last a beautiful sunny day, even though it's cold,  it's been so wet here since we got home a few weeks ago, so nice to see some sunshine at long last.

Our latest theme over at CD Sunday is 'Quotations' I did struggle a little with this one at first, probably because I rarely use words on the front of my cards, I did a search through my CD's and found this one on Debbi Moore's Shabby Chic Butterflies and Flowers, it gave me a chance to use my favourite large butterfly die and a couple of smaller butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch.

Hope to see your entry over at the challenge and don't forget to pop over to my teamies blogs and see what they have made.

Love Always - CD Sunday DT

Hello, I'm back this week from our holidays at Antibes in the south of France with the Camping Car, the weather was lovely and warm and sunny most days, so nice to sit out in the sun,  the two months really flew by, I must say we are not liking all this rain and wind and cold that we have here at home in Western France, the Atlantic winds are battering the coast here similar to those in UK, so much damage all over the place.

As I prepared and scheduled  all my posts for the period we were away before we went, I almost forgot to do this one, so it's 3am and I'm quickly writing this.

Our theme this week at CD Sunday is Love Always, well it is that time of year again.  I used Shabby Chic Time Flies CD by Debbi Moore this was such a quick and easy card to make.

Hope to see your entry on the CD Sunday Blog, don't forget to pop on to my teamies blogs and see what they have come up with.

7/8 - Year of the Horse - CD Sunday DT

Apparently it's the 'Year of the Horse' this year, and that's theme we've chosen this time over at CD Sunday. My image is from a CD of 6,900 Animal pictures I bought from an ebay seller when I first started paper crafting  years ago, my BP is from Bearly Mine Designs, I used various die cut scrolls/flourishes which I linked together, all finished off with some dotty ribbon, pearls and  some little flowers from my stash which I coloured with Pro-Markers.

6/8 Tantalizing Turquoise - CD Sunday DT

My second favourite colour is our theme for this time at CD Sunday, I'm using a Debbi Moore CD this time, also some turq mirri card and some paper lace ribbon. The card shape is also from a Debbi Moore template,  I decoupaged the ribbon on her dress and highlighted with gold Sakura Glitter pen.

5/8 - Easel Card - Ooh-La-La DT

Happy New Year everyone. My first posting for the 2014.  It's my choice for the theme at Ooh-La-La Creations Challenge Blog, I've chosen on of my favourite styles of card and that's an 'Easel Card' I made my own patchwork paper using Craft Artist software and various papers from the Nursery Times CD, embellishments are various images from the CD which I resized and cut out, I also decoupaged Little Miss Muffet for dimension.
