Bows

The second of todays posts, it's time for another challenge over at Gingerloft , This fortnight the challenge has the theme of Bows.  The digi I used was Butterly Iris  which is available from Tami's Gingerloft website.

I used my Promarkers to colour the image, the backing papers were from  Joanna Sheen's Pam West CD and Beatrix Potter CD by Crafters Companion,  the scrolls were cut using Marianne Designs die on my cuttlebug,  my base card was Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion, and linen mirri from Kanban.

I've seen and used this style card as a square cut previously and thought I would be clever and match the circle, half way through I wished I hadn't, it is so difficult to get the curves to match up,  believe me it's so much easier to use the square cut , ah well you live and learn, hehehe.

White Christmas

Hello fans !!, Well my internet problems continue, I've had to resort to using internet cafes for the time being, so the next few posts will be time scheduled, as I cannot risk not being able to post on a Sunday morning when the internet cafe is closed.  I haven't been to one for a few days as we've both been unwell, and anyway who wants to venture out in this awful weather, much better to stay home and craft away.
Enough of that,  this week at CD Sunday the theme is White Chritmas, I decided to use my Beatrix Potter "A Winter's Tale" CD & Stamp Kit that I won from the Crafters Companion competition recently. Sorry the photo is not better, rather a lot of reflection on it.

In addition to the images and backing paper from the CD and kit I used my fav MS Snowflake punch. linen mirri from Kanban, and Centura Pearl card from Crafters Companion.

Don't forget for your entry to qualify for entry into CD Sunday challenge, you only need to use a little something from a CD and follow the theme. So why not give it a go.

Shabby Chic - CD Sunday Challenge

This week the theme at CD Sunday is Shabby Chic, Remember you only have to use a small amount of something from a CD and follow the theme to enter, so why not get busy and have a go. I do hope you like my take on it.
I'm typing this in the hope that I can hold my internet connection long enough to complete it.  I haven't had a connection again for a few days now, it's driving me mad. So if you are reading this then hey ho I was successful at least for a short amount of time.  I've been busy making loads of cards and some jewellery for a local craft fair, held once a year, next week, poor George has been landed with making matching envelopes, I really should try to make my cards a standard size and buy the envelopes it would make life so much easier.

For this card I used Ooh-La-La Creations CD and the image and backing papers are from their Watercolour Memories CD. along with an MS punch and Pearlescent Card for the base and some dark green lightweight card for the layers.

Fireworks JIC # 19

Over at Just Inspirational this week the challenge is Fireworks/Bonfire,  if you're reading this it means bloggers scheduled post has worked, as I'm absent at the moment.

I used two layers of the window/curtain image which I then stamped with a small leaves stamp using versamark and embossed with a embossing powder, then coloured the rest of the curtains with promarkers, added some ribbon for thr tie backs, this was cut out and and acetate inserted for the window, the little vase was printed on to shrink plastic and shrunk.  Fireworks photo is from many years ago at a firework display.
