challenge sketch Saturday

My interpretation of the recipe, these days due to disabilities I have had to stop stamping and switch to CD's.

I used Gemstone magic CD by Debbie Moore for main image and various backing papers that I had in my stash, because I liked them, also used were Sakura glaze pens to colour some areas, also clear glaze and clear star to highlight some of the "gems", although it doesn't show much in the piccy.

Entry It's a crafter companion 17/05/10

Well lets hope this works, fingers crossed, my first entry for this site. will also be posting to crafter comapanion weekly challenge which has a them of "bears". I'm a bit late this week, as i've been in a lot pf pain this week and have had to rest with feet up more than usual.

The image is from Popcorn by CC, I did take my images into MCS as I wanted to play about with them a bit for the rosette and the ribbon papers, the backing papers were from the Flower Fairies CD's, Blue card is from CC the one that feels a bit like a suedette/peachy if you know what I mean. I also glazed the main image and the rosette with CC spray varnish.

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to look at this blog.

This is my first blog, so at the moment i am experimenting and don't really have a clue what i'm doing yet, hopefully, for all our sakes I will improve over time.

I have created this space in order to post my various crafting projects. Currently I am interested in paper crafting - cards, pictures, scrapbooking, Cross stitching and Kumihimo (Japanese Braiding).

I have five cross stitch projects on the go ranging from small to large projects.
I have crafted in various forms over the years, beginning in my teens with dressmaking and knitting.

For a few years in the 1980's whilst my children were growing up I was able to work from home as a designers assistant / co-ordinator for a knitwear designer, using some of my creativity in making & translating her drawings into the finished articles, costing and pattern writing for distribution to her outworkers who made up the stock.
