1/10 Under the Sea - Delightful Challenges DT

Hi all, this is the 1st of 10 pre-scheduled posts for DT cards over the next three weeks, as I'm going to be offline.  So they will each be quite be brief, not a lot you can say that far in advance really. is there  I will try and get on line occasionally, but i'm not sure what time or internet access I will have.

A quick posting before I go offline for about 3 weeks, this one is for the Crafters Companion Easter Competition.

All the papers/images are from the Everyday CD set by CC. I also used Co-ordinations cardstock, which I embossed and sanded, linen effect mirri, glitter of course, although it doesn't show up well, CC Spray and Sparkle, pearls and lastly MS punches.

Karens 100th Folllower Celebration

My crafting friend Karen is celebrating her 100th follower over at krafty karens blogspot she's having a competetion and has some great prizes on offer for the lucky winners, so why not pop on over and have a look.

This is the card I made for her, the inspiration from my blog, well there are a few, I love Debbi Moore Glitter and Glitz ranges, this one is from the new "Paris" CD, I made another one for my DT card a week ago and several others over the past year, DM images are a great excuse to use glitter,  the colour is another favorite of mine apart from purple and I happen to know turq is favourite of Karens, (nothing like sucking up, eh Karen LOL).  I hope you like it Karen

Butterflies - CD Sunday DT

Good Morning,  I hope you are having a good Easter break.

My DT Card for CD Sunday this week is made using images and papers from  the MCS Opulent CD.  I printed the BP direct onto my hammered card, then marked, cut and  folded into a tri-shutter card, the butterflies were cut and shaped, their antenna were made using bristles I took from a  floor brush,  Yes, it was a clean one I took them ages ago when the brush was new :-)

Little Dumpling - Delightful Challenges DT

Here we are again, Thursday already, the weather is gorgeous right now, have been able to have the windows wide open again the past couple of afternoons.  Thursday means it’s time for a new challenge over at Delightful Challenges, the theme this week is Paper Piecing or Paper Piercing, my photo is not the best, I had awful trouble photographing the mirri card.

Sketch - Gingerloft DT

This week we have a sketch challenge for you over at Gingerloft,  my DT card uses the Geisha Girl image from Gingerloft which I coloured with promarkers, my die cut arrived in the mail a couple of days before I knew what the sketch was going to be, so when I saw the sketch it was an ideal opportunity try it out.  Before removing the card from the die I inked it to enhance the embossing, the BP is from my stash and the corners were made using an MS punch and cut to make a corner, I finished off with glitter in various places and some pearls and two layers of ribbon.

Happy Birthday CD Sunday DT

Ooohps a bit late here today, got up thinking it's Saturday and all set to take my time and prepare my posts for Sunday, only problem is it's already Sunday, seems to be the story my life right now, don't  know what day of the week it is !!! Reckon i'm going gaga.

We have to sing Happy Birthday this week to CD Sunday, because it's our 1st Birthday  the DT have got together and we have two extra special prizes up for grabs, because they are special prizes the DT are going to selecting the winners, not so easy for us given the fabulous cards that are always submitted.  All you have to do is make a birthday card making sure of course that it uses something from a Crafting CD on it - simple.

For my card I decided to use one of my favourite Debbi Moore CDs and I have quite a few of them, this one is from Glitter and Glitz - Paris. I also used some gold satin mirri which was embossed and of course using a Glitter and Glitz CD makes almost compulsory to add glitter to any bit you can get your hands on

I love this style of card fold, but can never remember what it 's called.
