Monochrome - Lilacs

After a few weeks off  for it's time to get back into crafting again.
CD Sunday Challenge has a  Monochrome theme this week, one of my favourite themes.

Given my love of Purple, I thought I'd use puple/lilacs.  I used the CC Flower Fairies CD and obviously picked the Lavender Fairy. 3 x  backing papers from the same CD and one from a Debbi Moore CD. I also used some lovely purple linen effect mirri card for the layering, the butterflies and parts of the flowers. The butterflies, fairy and stars have been highlighted with a clear star gelly roll pen, although it doesn't show much on the piccy.
I am also entering this one into:
craftalicious challenges - anything goes
citycrafter - take flight
southern girls challenge  - 4 layers of DP

I love that card & I too am a purple lilac person.
I'm off to sort my entry for the challenge - not sure what colour yet.
I can't find an option to email you & wanted to know how you got your background from Serif to the blog. I use serif & would love to do that at some time - any hints?

Hi Misty's Mum, not sure how I can message you. I did the layout a while back, had only just got the software at the time and was literally playing to see if I could do it, I did lots of research on the internet and picked up little hints and tips from all over the place so heaven only knows exactly how but I managed it somehow, i will have to think about it again, what is your blog addy, so I can let you know, but don't hold your breath, gonna be a bit hectic for a few weeks.
