Waters Meet - CD Sunday DT

Well hello, here we are at Sunday again, and time for another challenge over at CD Sunday,  we have the theme of Waters Meet, so anything to do with water this week. Just remember to use a little something used from a CD to qualify.

So I had a little play around in the MCS Something Special CD and made one larger image and 3 smaller ones for the Waterfall bit.  I used my new Nellie Snellen die cut frame for the backings of the waterfall sections,  the ribbon I rescued from a gift I received and recycled, all other bits and bobs are from my stash.

CD Sunday - A Sketch

Hi there,  It only seems like a couple of days since last Sunday, where has the week gone !!

As it's Sunday it's time for another challenge over at CD Sunday, this week we had a sketch to work to, it is ages since I worked to a sketch, I really enjoyed this one and made a birthday card.

The images and papers are from MCS Countryside Garden, I hadn't used this one for over a year, so it was good dig it out and have a look around, the Mirri is from Kanban, base card is Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion. the mirri scalloped circle was made using a nestie on my cuttlebug, the looped edges were made with an MS punch and some cream coloured ribbon from my stash finished of the narrow strip.

Holly Christmas Card

I promised myself I would try and make Christmas cards throughout the year this year, there several christmas card challenges in blogland, so entering the challenges helps to keep me going.  I'm also going to try and keep them a little simpler this year, I sort of carried away into some quite heavy and large cards last year, as I send most of my cards abroad this turns out to be quite costly. This one folds into a DL size, is on a Centura Pearl card, images and papers are from a Joanna Sheen CD, edges are punched with a dotty Martha Stewart punch.

Guest Designer - Stamps R Us

I had the opportunity to to do a guest designer spot over at Stamps R Us this week, they are being sponsored by Gingerloft, the theme this fortnight is shaped cards, I do love shaped cards and it gave me a good excuse to use some of my new (I treated myself) Marianne Creatables die cut shapes, the frame and the flowers are all her dies, and of course a lovely digi which i've had for a while from Gingerloft. which I coloured with good old promarkers. the base card is my favorite Centura Pearl which I always keep plenty of in my card cupboard.

Celebrations - Gingerloft DT

2nd post today, well better late than never, if you read my first one you'll understand.

Over at Gingerloft this time the theme is Celebrations, as it's new year i thought i would stick with tradition and do a new year card. i'm using the new 2011 image available here. along with many other fab images.

 

I coloured the image with my promarkers and used a freebie backing paper from Making Cards magazine, mirri card from my stash, flower beads from Debbi Moore, some little silver stars I found in a pound shop an MS punch for the edging and used some of the waste bits as faux brads and finally generated the sentiment on my PC. all on my base card of Centura Pearl from Craftersd Companion.

New Year, New to You - CD Sunday DT

Ooohps, rather late posting today, I seem to have a lost a day somewhere, I thought it was Saturday, so came on here to prepare my two postings in advance for Sunday morning.   That plan didn't work then , Oh well.

Over at CD Sunday the challenge this week is "New year, New to you".  I had just received my new CD Winter Celebrations from MCS, so decided to "celebrate" with it. they don't show very well but the two little bottles are little tags tied on with some ribbon, just couldn't get the angle quite right for them to show up properly. I also added some sparkle to the bubbles with my ever faithful Sakura clear sparkle pen, my base card was my favorite Centura Pearl.

Over at CD Sunday it's time for the monthly sponsor challenge, this month we are lucky to be sponsored by Bearly Mine Designs who have been very generous in offering a £10 voucher towards a Bearly Mine Designs CD to the lucky winner this week, there are some beautiful papers available over there, I have only just discovered BMD, wish I had found them sooner, why not pop on over and take a look.
